Day 1: Arrive in Paro
Paro is a beautiful lush valley , characterised by scenic beauty and countless myths and legends. It harbours many of Bhutan’s oldest temples and monasteries. The country’s only airport, Paro airport has been recognised as one of the cleanest and least crowded airports in the world. The fertile valley of Paro produces the bulk of Bhutan’s popular and nutritious red rice from its terraced fields. Kichu Lhakhang (temple) is another reason for a tourist to be happy about visiting Bhutan. This special temple was built around 6th and 7th century by a Tibetan King to subdue a demon is known as one of the 108 temples he needed to construct within a single day.It also offers a typical experience with hot stone bathing, traditionally cooked and served Bhutanese dishes.

Day 2:Thimphu
The heart of the nation where one of the highest population in the country resides. Thimphu is the capital , the largest and only city of Bhutan. It is situated in the western central part of Bhutan. Thimphu, is also the political and economic centre of Bhutan, has a dominant agricultural and livestock base, which contributes to 45% of the country’s GNP. Watching the very popular national game archery played between two teams of men is another amazement. Another wonder of Thimphu valley is the beautiful craft boutiques that stretch for a kilometre or two at the mouth of the city. A must explore and experience market, one of its kind in Bhutan is the Farmer’s Centenary Market. The visit to the School of Arts and Crafts would give an insight into Wood carving, weaving, gold, silver and metal smiths, painting (mud and metal statues), wall painting, scroll painting embroidery, stone sculpture the Bhutanese way.

Day 3: Paro to Taktshang Hike
Taktshang is a prominent Himalayan Buddhist scared site and the temple complex is located in the cliffside of the upper Paro valley. It was founded in the 8th century as a meditation cave. Padmasambhava is credited with introducing Buddhism to Bhutan. According to legend, it is believed that Guru Rinpoche flew to this location from Tibet on the back of a tigress. Therefore, this place is was consecrated to tame the Tiger demon. Today many monks and lamas visit Taktshang for meditation or praying purposes. Climbing up hill to Taktshang monastery is about 1 1/2 hours. There is a trail which is has railings to secure the pilgrims and to enjoy the views from the hill top.
